Refund policy

Last updated October 28, 2026Effective October 28, 2026Privacy policyTerms of service

This policy explains how cancellations and refunds work for MeetNotely's paid plans and credit packs. It is part of our terms of service. Payments are processed by Stripe.

1.Try it free first

You don't need to pay to find out whether MeetNotely suits you. The free plan includes 3 meetings a month, each up to 30 minutes, with transcripts and cited notes, and needs no card. Try it on your own calls before you choose a paid plan.

2.Money back on your first purchase

If a paid plan isn't right for you, you can ask for your first payment back:

  • Monthly plan: a full refund if you ask within 7 days of your first payment.
  • Yearly plan: a full refund if you ask within 14 days of your first payment and the workspace has recorded no more than 5 hours.

This is for your first purchase of a paid plan only, and once per customer: a second workspace, or a new account with the same email address, doesn't get it again. Write to us at hello@meetnotely.com from the workspace owner's email address. We refund the full amount to the original payment method through Stripe and the plan ends; the workspace moves to the free plan, and your meetings stay.

3.Other charges are non-refundable

Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, and credit packs are one-off purchases. Apart from the first-purchase refund above and the exceptions below, a charge is not refunded once it is made. That includes:

  • renewals, seats you add, and credit packs;
  • a request after the first-purchase window, or a yearly plan that has recorded more than 5 hours (no partial refunds);
  • the rest of a billing period after you cancel or move to the free plan;
  • a downgrade, or seats you remove (their unused time comes off your next invoices as a balance, as the terms explain, but is not paid back);
  • time you didn't use, and monthly hours or credits you didn't use or that expired;
  • a paid plan that ends because you deleted your account.

This doesn't take away any refund right that mandatory consumer law gives you where you live.

4.Cancel at any time

The workspace owner can cancel a paid plan at any time in the app, under Plan & billing. The plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and nothing more is charged after that. The workspace then moves to the free plan: your meetings stay, and the free plan's limits apply. Credits you bought are kept on hold and work again if you subscribe again before they expire.

5.How to cancel

  • Sign in to MeetNotely as the workspace's owner.
  • Open the menu behind your name and choose Plan & billing.
  • Choose Manage subscription. Stripe's secure page opens.
  • Choose Cancel subscription and confirm.
  • Back in MeetNotely, Plan & billing shows the date your plan ends.

If you can't sign in, write to us at hello@meetnotely.com from the workspace owner's email address and we will cancel it for you.

6.Exceptions we review

We will look at a charge again if it shouldn't have happened:

  • A duplicate charge: you were charged twice for the same thing. (If a workspace ends up with two subscriptions, we cancel one and refund it automatically.)
  • A billing error: you were charged the wrong amount or for something you didn't order.
  • A charge after a timely cancellation: you cancelled before the renewal date and were charged anyway.
  • Unauthorised use of your payment method: someone paid with your card or account without your permission.

Write to us at hello@meetnotely.com with the workspace, the date and amount of the charge, and what went wrong. We review every request and reply within 14 days. If we confirm the error, we refund the amount concerned to the original payment method through Stripe; your bank may take a few business days to show it.

7.Chargebacks and disputes

Please contact us before you dispute a charge with your bank or card issuer: we can usually fix a billing problem faster. If you file a chargeback, we may pause the workspace while it is reviewed: its meetings stay readable, but nothing new can be recorded, uploaded or asked until it is resolved.

8.Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. A change takes effect when we publish it on this page, with the new date at the top.
