How MeetNotely works.Step by step.

What you do, and what MeetNotely does, from the moment a meeting starts to the link you send afterwards. No bot joins the call, and there's nothing to install.

Before you start

Three things.That's all it needs.

No plug-in, no desktop app and no bot to invite. If you can open the meeting in a browser tab, you can record it.

  1. A MeetNotely account

You sign in on the web. Nothing is installed on your computer.

  2. The meeting in a browser tab

Google Meet, or Zoom and Microsoft Teams when you join them on the web.

  3. Your microphone

So your own voice is recorded along with everyone else in the call.

The flow

Eight steps. You do three of them.

Each step says what you do and what happens next. Most of the work starts after you press stop.

  1. Connect your calendarOptional

    You
Connect Google Calendar and choose how you want to hear about meetings: in the app, as a browser notification or by email.
    What happens
Your upcoming meetings appear in MeetNotely, and an alert arrives before each one starts. MeetNotely reads your calendar; it never changes it.
  2. Press record

    You
Open the meeting in a browser tab and press record, or click record straight from the alert. Your browser asks what to share: pick the meeting tab, keep its audio on and allow your microphone.
    What happens
MeetNotely starts recording the sound of the meeting tab and your microphone. Nothing joins the call, and nobody sees anything new in it.
  3. Hold the meeting

    You
Talk as you normally would, and keep the meeting tab open until the end. Let people know you're recording.
    What happens
The audio is recorded as the call goes on. Only sound is recorded, never video or the screen.
  4. Press stop

    You
Press stop when the meeting ends. You can leave the page; nothing else is needed from you.
    What happens
The recording is saved privately to your workspace, and the meeting starts being written up.
  5. Read the transcript

    You
Open the meeting. If a speaker is labelled by number, give them their real name once.
    What happens
Every word is written down with who said it. The language is detected, including meetings that switch between Arabic and English.
  6. Check the notes

    You
Read the summary and decisions. Click any timestamp to hear the moment for yourself.
    What happens
A summary, key decisions, notes and chapters are written from the transcript, each line with its timestamp. Action items come with an owner and a due date.
  7. Ask and search

    You
Ask a question in plain words about this meeting or all of them, or search for something someone said.
    What happens
The answer comes back in the language you asked in, with links to the moments it's based on.
  8. Share what matters

    You
Create a link and choose what it shows: the notes, the transcript, the recording. Add an expiry date if you like, or cut a short clip.
    What happens
Anyone with the link sees what you chose, without signing in. Revoke it and it stops working right away.

This is what step six looks like. Switch between notes, transcript and Ask, and click a timestamp to jump to its moment.

Two ways in

Record it live.Or upload the file.

Both end in the same place: a transcript, cited notes, action items and Ask.

  • Record from the browser

For meetings you're in right now. Share the meeting tab and your microphone, and press stop at the end.

    • Google Meet, and Zoom and Teams on the web
    • Nothing joins the call
    • Start from a calendar alert in one click
  • Upload a recording

For calls you've already recorded somewhere else. Drop in one file or several, and set each one's title, date and language first.

    • MP3, M4A, MP4, MOV, WAV, WebM, OGG, AAC, FLAC
    • Up to 2 GB, and 2 hours per file (1 hour on Free)
    • Marked “Uploaded” in your meetings
Every feature in detail

Good to know. Before your first call.

  • Desktop apps

Browser recording captures a browser tab, so the Zoom and Teams desktop apps can't be recorded this way. Join those meetings on the web, or upload a recording made elsewhere.

  • Audio only

MeetNotely records sound, not video. Slides or screens shared in the call are not captured.

  • Tell people

Nothing in the call shows that you're recording, so let the other people know, and follow the rules that apply where you are.

  • Keep the tab open

The recording comes from the meeting tab, so keep it open until you press stop.

Questions?Answered.

Do I need to install anything?

No. MeetNotely runs in your browser. You share the meeting tab and your microphone when you start recording, and nothing else is installed.

Does it work with the Zoom or Teams desktop apps?

Not yet. Browser recording captures a browser tab, so join Zoom or Teams on the web, or use Google Meet, which already runs in the browser. You can also upload a recording made elsewhere.

How long does it take after the call?

Short meetings are usually written up within a few minutes of the recording ending. Longer meetings take longer; you can leave the page and come back.

What if I forget to press record?

Connect Google Calendar and MeetNotely alerts you before each meeting starts, with a button that starts recording in one click. If the call was recorded somewhere else, upload the file.

What about meetings in Arabic, or in both languages?

The transcript and notes follow the language of the meeting, and the app itself is fully right to left in Arabic. A meeting that switches between Arabic and English is handled as one meeting.

Your next meeting.Three clicks away.

Open the meeting tab, press record and share the tab with your mic. The transcript, cited notes and action items follow.
